CHAPEL OUTREACH

Be the church for our community and world.

OUR WORLD

GLOBAL OUTREACH

Several billion people are still without Jesus. 1 of 10 in the world will go to bed hungry. 1 of 8 are without clean drinking water. Jesus sent the Church into this world—a world full of problems. We are called across the street and around the globe. The Chapel is connected to many parts of the world through missionaries we support and through our partnering with indigenous ministries who are already at work meeting physical and spiritual needs of those still apart from Christ. We can’t do everything, but we can do our part as God allows and your generosity enables.

GLOBAL PARTNERS & OPPORTUNITIES

Operation Christmas Child

Every year The Chapel partners with Samaritan's Purse and collects shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Shoe boxes full of toys and basic hygiene items are delivered around the world to children and the Gospel message is shared.

India Gospel League

India

The Chapel has entered into a five-year adoption of a brand new, small church in south eastern India. This new partnership with IGL will help provide a meeting place for church members, a water well and other life-sustaining necessities. Very exciting is the expansion of the gospel into this highly unreached part of the world.

CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ )

Scott and Lisa Santee are with CRU.  They, along with college students, make short films that share the gospel in creative and provocative ways. This has turned into a worldwide mission, reaching out to places where missionaries are not typically welcome.

Commission to Every Nation

Mexico

Nicasio and Valerie Martinez are with Commission to Every Nation and are Bible translators in Mexico.  Nicasio’s first language is Quiatoni Zapotec which is an indigenous language, spoken in southern Mexico long before the Spanish arrived.  He and Valerie are translating the Bible into Quiatoni Zapotec because most who speak this language do not understand Spanish nor the Spanish Bible.

TEAM

Germany

Doyle and Lucille Klaassen are with TEAM and travel to Germany twice a year for a month at a time to teach in Brake.  They also minister to missionaries worldwide, traveling to Japan, Haiti, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Yukon.

SEND International

Warren and Dorothy Janzen are with SEND International (a 70 year old church planting global ministry). Warren is the International Director.  SEND mobilizes God’s people (currently over 550 people from 14 different countries) to engage the unreached (currently over 60 different people groups in 21 countries) in order to establish reproducing churches.

Harvest Initiatives

Burundi, Africa

Harvest Initiatives reaches out to the Batwa people in Bugenyuzi, Burundi, central Africa, by building homes of brick; providing porridge for the children (dramatically decreasing mortality rate );  educating children; giving access to medical care; and creating opportunities for a sustainably better life. All of this continues to open more doors to talk and teach about Christ.

Hindustan Bible Institute (HBI)

India

Bobby and Linnet Gupta with HBI (Hindustan Bible Institute)  serve in India to give every man and woman, boy and girl an opportunity to hear, understand and respond to the Gospel in their context and be discipled into communities of believers, so they can be God’s instruments to fulfill His purpose of reaching the unreached around them.

Double Harvest

Haiti

Annually, The Chapel sends teams to work at Double Harvest, a large farm that employs many Haitian locals. Also, DH sponsors a school with 500 students who are given a Christ-centered education. Physical and spiritual needs are met among students and adults alike.

Athletes in Action

Ryan Orshoski with Athletes in Action, a CRU Ministry, leads athletes to grow spiritually and learn how to share their faith…and to experience other cultures.  AIA teams set up youth basketball camps, adult coaching clinics, and arrange games against local university teams.  A huge part of their outreach effectiveness is how they honor Christ in the way they play the game.

Dayspring Outreach

Roger Tomilinson

For a number of years, The Chapel has sent adult teams to work with Dayspring in various parts of Mexico. In recent years, Chapel youth teams have made this a regular short term mission destination.

Global Friendship Partners

A Ministry of The Chapel

Seasonally, hundreds of international students come to Vacationland and work at a local hotel or park. The Chapel attenders befriend these students to give them an American connection and the love of Christ.
