Social Media Coordinator

Position Overview: Lead The Chapel’s social media efforts on various platforms as well as find ways to engage with congregation during weekend service online broadcast. Assisting the Communications Arts Team in creating relevant and compelling media with clear and accurate information in a convenient and effective manner regarding The Chapel’s events and ministries.

Maintain our distinct brand which delivers an accurate portrayal of The Chapel, its vision, and the God we represent.

Job Type: 15-20 hours/week (Part-Time)

Church-Size: 2,500-3,000 (3 Campuses)

Campus: Sandusky

This role requires creative and interpersonal skills. Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required. Any candidate needs to be self-motivated, have strong communication skills (oral & written), be detailed-oriented, a good time manager, a multitasker, possess good computer skills and be spiritually and emotionally mature.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate and maintain The Chapel social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Create and schedule graphics, videos, and events to post. Create a volunteer team to assist.

  • Develop and implement new ways to engage and develop our online community. Develop and schedule a team to assist with ongoing online communication.

  • Help maintain The Chapel website, Chapel App, and weekend broadcast.

  • Assist occasionally with design and print of weekly worship programs, message series artwork or artwork for branded events.

  • Distribute weekly Chapel update email communication.

  • Assist ministries with special communication projects.

This person is required to be in the office at least 1 day a week (Wednesday) but has flexible work hours and can work partially from home if needed. In addition, this person must be available on occasion to assist and interact with people during weekend broadcasts (currently Sunday morning) if no volunteer is available or to take pictures/videos during specific weekend services.
